The Mayor calls for nominations for Mayor Pro Tern position. <br />2. Close nominations for position. <br />3. The Mayor declares the result of the election. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Pursuant to Santa Ana Charter Section 405 and Municipal Code Section 2-101, the newly elected <br />City Council shall elect a Mayor Pro Tern who shall act as Mayor during the absence from the City <br />or disability of the Mayor, or during any vacancy in the Office of Mayor until otherwise filled in <br />accordance with Section 403 of the Santa Ana Charter. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />60A-1 <br />
