EXHIBIT 2 <br />jmf 11/24/20 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020-XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA APPROVING THE WATER SUPPLY ASSESSMENT FOR THE <br />PROPOSED 4TH AND CABRILLO PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with California Water Code Sections 10910, <br />10912(a)(1), and 10912(a)(6), any development that is proposing a residential <br />development of more than 500 dwelling units requires the preparation and approval of a <br />water supply assessment; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed 4th and Cabrillo Project, bounded by Fourth Street and <br />Cabrillo Park Drive to the south and east, Parkcourt Place to the north, and the Santa <br />Ana Freeway to the west, is proposing development of 644 residential dwelling units and <br />also 15,200 square feet of retail space; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed 4th and Cabrillo Project therefore requires the <br />preparation and approval of a water supply assessment pursuant to California Water <br />Code Sections 10910 and 10912: and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is the public water system that will supply water <br />to the proposed 4th and Cabrillo Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the projected water demand associated with the proposed 4th and <br />Cabrillo Project was accounted for in the City of Santa Ana 2015 Urban Water <br />Management Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Supply Assessment for the 4th and Cabrillo Project has <br />been prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the findings from the Water Supply Assessment prepared for the 4th <br />and Cabrillo Project show that there is sufficient water supply available for the proposed <br />4th and Cabrillo Project during normal, single -dry, and multiple dry years within a 20-year <br />projection to meet the projected water demand of the Project in addition to other future <br />service area demands in the City of Santa Ana. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana as follows: <br />Section 1. The Water Supply Assessment for the 4th and Cabrillo Project is <br />hereby approved, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A and will be on file at the offices <br />of the Public Works Agency of the City for public inspection. <br />Resolution No. 2020-XXX <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />55D-3 <br />
