HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 4 JULY 30, 2020 <br /> <br />The following individuals spoke on the matter: <br /> <br />• Manny Escamilla, spoke in support; commented on historic preservation of <br />properties and murals. <br /> <br />Commission discussion ensued regarding creating a list of potential historic properties and <br />murals to be preserved. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />5. STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Executive Director Thai <br />• Provided an update on the Cypress Fire Station; City Council approved the <br />disposition of the property through the Land Surplus Act. Use of the property is still <br />under negotiations. Commission expressed concern with the disposition of the <br />property. <br />• Provided update on a proposed ordinance for vacant properties. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Fregoso <br />• Provided an update on the Historic Resources Commission Memorandum.
