THIS ENDORSEMENT CHANGES THE POLICY. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. <br />THE <br />HARTFORD <br />TRANSIT BUSINESS INCOME <br />This endorsement modifies insurance provided under the following: <br />SPECIAL PROPERTY COVERAGE FORM <br />Except as otherwise stated in this endorsement, the terms and conditions of the Policy apply. <br />The following is added to Paragraph A.6., Coverage Extensions, of the Special Property Coverage Form: <br />Transit Business Income <br />(1) We will pay for the actual loss of Business Income you sustain and necessary Extra Expense you incur <br />during the "transit period of restoration" due to the necessary suspension of your "operations" caused by <br />or resulting from direct physical loss or direct physical damage to Covered Property in transit. Such direct <br />physical loss or direct physical damage must be caused by or resulting from a Covered Cause of Loss. <br />(2) Business Income means the: <br />(a) Net Income (Net Profit or Loss before income taxes) that would have been earned or incurred if no <br />direct physical loss or direct physical damage had occurred, but not including any Net Income that <br />would likely have been earned as a result of an increase in the volume of business due to favorable <br />business conditions caused by the impact of the Covered Cause of Loss on customers or on other <br />businesses; and <br />(b) Continuing normal operating expenses incurred, including payroll expenses. <br />(3) Payroll expenses includes: <br />(a) Payroll; <br />(b) Employee benefits; if directly related to payroll; <br />(c) FICA payments you pay; <br />(d) Union dues you pay; and <br />(e) Workers' compensation premiums. <br />(4) Extra Expense means expense incurred: <br />(a) To avoid or minimize the suspension of business and to continue "operations": <br />(b) To minimize the suspension of business if you cannot continue "operations"; or <br />(c) To: <br />(i) Repair or replace any property; or <br />(ii) Research, replace or restore the lost information on damaged "valuable papers and records"; <br />to the extent it reduces the amount of loss that otherwise would have been payable under this Coverage <br />Extension. <br />(5) With respect to the coverage provided in this Coverage Extension, suspension means the partial <br />slowdown or complete cessation of your business activities. <br />(6) Extra Expense does not apply to: <br />(a) Any deficiencies in insuring Building or Business Personal Property; or <br />(b) Any expense related to any recall of products you manufacture, handle or distribute. <br />(7) With respect to the coverage provided in this Coverage Extension, suspension means the partial <br />slowdown or complete cessation of your business activities. <br />(8) We will deduct from the total Extra Expense to be paid: <br />(a) The salvage value that remains of any property bought for temporary use during the "transit period of <br />restoration", once your "operations" are resumed; and <br />(b) Any Extra Expense that is paid for by other insurance. <br />eRAMwagmedDMsiun <br />Form SP 30 61 10 18 GF �/ �. �� RE�AexrED & APPROVED Sr: <br />x <br />© 2018, The Hartford 1 "" �"° <br />(May include copyrighted material of Insurance Services Office, Inc., with its 1— -- P r skPjanagementAnalpt <br />
