CNA CNA PARAMOUNT <br />First Party Terms and Conditions <br />b. research, recreate or reproduce information, on any format, documenting that lost or damaged research <br />and development project property as of the date of such loss or damage. <br />However, the Insurer will only pay for these costs if the Named Insured repairs, replaces or recreates the <br />research and development project property. Any research and development project property not <br />repaired, replaced or recreated has no value. When production of a new product begins by anyone, the <br />research and development project property for that product and all associated research and recreation <br />costs have no value. <br />13. Tenant's improvements and betterments: <br />a. Replacement cost if the Named Insured repairs or replaces with reasonable speed. <br />b. A proportion of the Named Insured's original cost if the Named Insured does not repair or replace with <br />reasonable speed. The Insurer will determine the proportionate value as follows: <br />i. multiply the original cost by the number of days from the date of the loss or damage to the expiration <br />date of the lease; and <br />ii. divide that amount determined in Paragraph i. above by the number of days from the installation of <br />the tenant's improvements and betterments to the expiration of the lease. <br />If the lease contains a renewal option, the expiration date of the renewal option period will be used as the <br />expiration date of the lease. <br />c. If others pay for the repairs or replacement, then the Insurer will only pay for that portion which has not <br />been paid for by others. <br />14. Vehicles or self-propelled machines (other than nonowned trailers), railroad rolling stock and contractor's <br />equipment: at the lesser of the following for that lost or damaged property: <br />a. applicable scheduled Limit of Insurance; <br />b. actual cash value; <br />c. cost to reasonably restore that property to its condition immediately before loss or damage; or <br />d. cost of replacing that property with used, but substantially identical property. <br />XIX. BUSINESS CRIME COVERAGE CONDITIONS <br />Solely with respect to crime coverage provided under the Business Crime Coverage Part and the Employee Theft, <br />Forgery or Alteration and Money and Securities Additional Coverages under the Business Property Coverage <br />Part, the following conditions apply: <br />A. Joint Named Insured <br />1. If the Named Insured or partner, proprietor, member or officer of that Named Insured has knowledge of any <br />information relevant to this insurance, that knowledge is considered knowledge of every Named Insured. <br />2. An employee of any Named Insured is considered to be an employee of every Named Insured. <br />3. If any crime coverage is cancelled or terminated as to any Named Insured, a loss with respect to that Named <br />Insured is covered only if the loss was discovered during the period of time in the When Loss Must be <br />Sustained and Discovered Condition below. However, this extended period to discover loss terminates as <br />to that Named Insured immediately upon the effective date of any other insurance obtained by that Named <br />Insured replacing in whole or in part the insurance afforded hereunder, whether or not such other insurance <br />provides coverage for loss or damage sustained prior to its effective date. <br />4.
