CNA CNA PARAMOUNT <br />Business Property Coverage Part <br />W. Utility Supply Failure Coverage <br />1. Property Damage <br />The Insurer will pay for direct physical loss of or damage to covered property at a location or reported <br />unspecified location where such loss or damage is caused by the necessary suspension, interruption or <br />reduction of: <br />a. communication services, including internet access; or <br />b. power supply, fuel services or water services, <br />at that location or reported unspecified location. <br />Such suspension, interruption or reduction must be the result of a covered peril that causes or results in <br />direct physical loss of or damage to such utility service provider's property, including overhead transmission <br />or distribution lines, used to provide the location or reported unspecified location with such services, <br />provided such property is not at a location or reported unspecified location. <br />The most the Insurer will pay for all such loss or damage to covered property under this ADDITIONAL <br />COVERAGE for any one occurrence is the Utility Supply Failure Coverage — Property Damage Limit of <br />Insurance. <br />2. Time Element <br />To the extent time element coverage is applicable at that location or reported unspecified location, the <br />Insurer will pay, as provided, for: <br />the actual loss of business income the Named Insured sustains during the period of restoration due <br />to the necessary suspension or delay of operations; <br />b. the actual loss of research and development business income the Named Insured sustains during the <br />period of restoration due to the necessary suspension or delay of the research and development <br />projects; and <br />c. extra expense, <br />caused by loss of or damage to a utility service provider's property that is located away from a location or <br />reported unspecified location and that property is used to provide internet, communication, power supply, <br />fuel services or water services to such location or reported unspecified location. The loss or damage must <br />be directly caused by a covered peril. <br />0 <br />The most the Insurer will pay for all such loss or expense under this ADDITIONAL COVERAGE for any one <br />0 <br />occurrence is the Utility Supply Failure Coverage — Time Element Limit of Insurance. <br />If a Deductible or Qualifying Period is shown on the Business Property Schedule of Locations for Utility <br />Supply Failure Coverage — Time Element Coverage, then the following replaces the Deductible and <br />Qualifying Periods provision of the LIMITS OF INSURANCE/INDEMNITY <br />PERIOD/DEDUCTIBLE/QUALIFYING PERIOD section for the Utility Supply Failure Coverage — Time <br />Element Coverage: <br />The Insurer will not pay for any loss of business income or research and development business income <br />or extra expense incurred for any one occurrence until the amount of loss or expense incurred exceeds the <br />applicable Deductible or until the length of the suspension or delay of operations exceeds the applicable <br />Qualifying Period shown in the Business Property Schedule of Locations. <br />If a Deductible applies, then the Insurer will pay the amount of actual business income or research and <br />development business income loss or extra expense incurred in excess of the applicable Deductible, up to <br />the applicable Limits of Insurance. <br />If a qualifying period applies and the qualifying period is exceeded, then the I <br />loss and expense, calculated as of the time of such suspension or delay in op <br />CNA62648XX 10-15 <br />Copyright CNA All Rights Reserved. <br />r <br />Risk MmagmerdDiMisian <br />REVIEWED & APPROVED BY.- <br />�I pu-cN" 1Z.
