PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Members of the public may only address the City Council on items on the Special Meeting <br />Agenda. <br />Email: Please email your comments by 12:00 p.m. for this Special meeting <br />to eComment(a)santa-ana.org. Comments received after the cut-off time will be published <br />soon after the meeting as part of the record as early as possible. <br />OR PARTICIPATE DURING THE MEETING BY SELECTING ZOOM (Camera icon) <br />NEXT TO THE PUBLIC COMMENT TITLE FOUND AT santa- <br />ana. primegov. com/public/portal. <br />OR Call 669-900-6833, Meeting ID: 929 3800 5247. <br />The public can begin joining the speaker queue at 1:30 p.m. for this Special meeting. Once a <br />caller has entered the meeting, they will be placed in a holding queue. Callers will be <br />prompted to speak in the order received. After the Clerk confirms the last three digits of the <br />caller's phone number or Zoom ID and unmutes them, the caller must press *6 or microphone <br />icon to speak. Callers are encouraged, but not required, to identify themselves by name. <br />Each caller will be provided three (3) minutes to speak. <br />Caller spoke in support of item 1 and spoke of the importance of mental health as well as <br />physical health. <br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br />APPROPRIATE $250,000 OF GENERAL FUND RESERVE FOR IMPLEMENTATION <br />OF COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATIONS AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH QUALIFIED VENDORS FOR <br />THESE SERVICES (TOTAL FUNDING NOT TO EXCEED $750,000) <br />1. Approve an appropriation adjustment to allocate $250,000 of General Fund <br />Reserves for expenditures in response to COVID-19. <br />2. Direct the City Attorney to finalize and authorize the City Manager to enter into <br />negotiations, execute agreements, and approve any other required actions necessary <br />with various service providers, contractors, and sub -recipients for COVID-19 testing <br />and vaccine distribution. <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge provided a brief oral presentation. <br />City Council Meeting 2 01/07/2021 <br />
