Career Development Solutions. <br />Veteran's Refund Policy <br />New Horizon CDS Veterans Refund Policy complies with CFR 21.4255. In the event the veteran or eligible person <br />fails to enter the course, withdraws, or is dismissed at any time prior to completion, any unused portion of tuition, <br />fees, and other charges is refunded. Any amount in excess of $10 of the application/Registration Fee (non- <br />refundable) is subject to a 100% pro-rata refund policy. The amount charged will not exceed the exact pro-rata <br />portion of total charges. The length of the completed portion of the course will be prorated over its total length, and <br />the exact proration will be determined by the ratio of the number of days of instruction completed by the student, to <br />the total number of instructional days in the course. Refunds are made within 40 days of the last date of the student's <br />attendance. <br />Grievance Procedures <br />If you encounter any problems concerning the education or administration of this program, please contact your <br />Instructor Immediately and state your grievance in writing to allow us to help you. The issue will not be addressed <br />until a written grievance has been submitted to the following New Horizons Career Development Solutions staff: <br />• 1st level - Your Guidance Counselor <br />• (Please Allow 3 Business Days) <br />• 2nd level - Your Campus Education Advisor <br />• (Please Allow 3 Business Days) <br />• 3rd level - Director of Career Development <br />• (Please Allow 3 Business Days) <br />• 4th level — Vice President of Career Development <br />• (Please Allow 3 Business Days) <br />If the 1st level staff (Guidance Counselor) has not responded to your grievance issue in a satisfactory manner, please <br />proceed to the next level of authority. <br />"A student or any member of the public may file a complaint about this institution with the Bureau for Private <br />Postsecondary Education by calling (888) 370-7589 toll -free or by completing a complaint form, which can be <br />obtained on the bureau's internet web site www.bppe.ca.gov <br />"Any questions a student may have regarding this catalog that have not been satisfactorily answered by the institution <br />may be directed to the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education at 1747 North Market, Suite 225, <br />Sacramento, CA 95834, P.O. Box 980818, West Sacramento, CA 95798.0818 www.bppe.ca .gov, toll -free <br />telephone number (888) 370.7589 or fax (916) 263 263.1897 or (916) 431.6959 <br />Reimbursement to Veterans and Eligible Persons <br />For information or for resolution of specific payment problems, the veteran should call the DVA Nationwide toll free <br />number at 1-800-827-1000 <br />Credit Evaluation Policy <br />Students who enter New Horizons Career Development Solutions with previous training in the course to be pursued <br />will be tested upon enrollment and when appropriate, be given credit for prior educations and/or experience. <br />Evaluation will be based upon a written exam, an oral exam, official documentation or certificates or a combination of <br />the above criteria. Credit will be recorded on enrollment record and the length of the course shortened <br />proportionately. Tuition will be adjusted accordingly. In addition the student and the Department of Veteran's <br />Administration (DVA) shall be notified. All prior training is subject to evaluation. <br />
