-„. <br />S PENSIG R6D1 <br />The general levels of reprimand are as follows: <br />The student will meet with the Education Consultant or Site Manager to discuss the inappropriate conduct and the <br />respective consequences. <br />The second level, if the problem persists after the primary level of reprimand has been exhausted is to suspend the <br />student [no longer than thirty (30) days) from the training facility. A mutual plan will be discussed and agreed upon by <br />the Education Consultant, Site Manager and the student. Once all parties agree upon this mutual plan, then the <br />student will be reinstated. <br />If the primary and secondary levels do not resolve the inappropriate behavior, then the student will be terminated from <br />the training program. However, if the inappropriate behavior displayed violated any section of the federal, state, and <br />local penal codes, then it is under the discretion of New Horizons Career Development Solutions to terminate the <br />student from the training program and facility. <br />Appeal of Academic Probation, Disciplinary Action, Dismissal <br />Students have the right to appeal academic probation, dismissal, and disciplinary actions taken against them, as well as final <br />decisions regarding any other dispute resolution procedure. Students who believe they have extenuating circumstances <br />regarding a particular matter should submit an appeal in writing to the CAO. The appeal will be mailed to: <br />New Horizons Career Development Solutions CAO <br />1900 S. State College Blvd. Suite 100 <br />Anaheim, CA 92806 <br />The Board of Directors will review the appeal within 10 days of the student's submission. A decision to the appeal will be made <br />within 30 days of the day the appeal was received. <br />Grading Standards <br />New Horizons Career Development Solutions does not issue letter grades. We are a pass/fail school. A Completion <br />Certificate is granted when a student completes 80% attendance and passes the New Horizons Career Development <br />Solutions mid-term and final assessments at a score of 70% or better. A Completion Certificate is not issued when a <br />student is absent more than 20% of the course or does not pass the post class assessment. <br />Reentrance <br />Conditions for re -enrollment will be approved only after evidence is shown to the School Directors satisfaction that the <br />condition, which caused the interruption for unsatisfactory progress, has been rectified. <br />Certification Testing <br />New Horizons Career Development Solutions Programs does include the cost of certification exams unless noted in <br />the program, Each student is financially responsible for the cost of exam registrations. Exam Registration Fee (non- <br />refundable)s vary and are established individually by each certifying body (Microsoft, Novell, CIW, CompTIA etc.). <br />Appointments for exams are registered and purchased from Pearson VUE. Exam appointments may be made via the <br />Pearson VUE website at hlWs://Iiome.pearsoiivue.com/. If you schedule an exam with Pearson VUE and fail to <br />make that appointment, Pearson VUE will charge you for that exam, <br />
