• Aid Assist Scholarship ($750) for students with <br />EFC > 5,000 ** <br />NOTE: Acceptable documentation is the ISIR <br />used for student's funding plan. <br />** Aid Assist Scholarship will be available to those <br />students who have reached PELL LEU, holds a <br />Bachelor's degree or ineligible for Pell Grant <br />regardless of EFC. <br />Military Family Scholarship ($500) <br />This scholarship is offered to eligible Veterans, <br />active duty military, reservists and/or <br />dependent/spouse of an eligible Veteran. <br />NOTE: Must provide a copy of Certificate of <br />Eligibility DD214. <br />Closed School Transfer Scholarship <br />This scholarship of ($1,000) is available to all new <br />students who are transferring in from a closed <br />school. <br />• Student must have completed less than 50% <br />of a program at prior school <br />• Student must complete at least 50% of their <br />new program at this institution <br />This scholarship will be credited to the student's <br />account upon graduation. This scholarship is <br />non-refundable to the student, meaning under no <br />circumstances will the student receive a payment <br />from the school for this scholarship. In the event <br />a credit balance is created by the scholarship, it <br />will be applied to any outstanding student loan <br />prior to the scholarship being reduced and the <br />credit balance removed. The school has sole <br />discretion to determine whether a student meets <br />and is eligible for this scholarship in accordance <br />with these terms and conditions. This scholarship <br />cannot be combined with any other institutional <br />scholarship. <br />Access to Education Scholarship ($9,900) <br />(Encino, Huntington Park, Ontario, Chula <br />Vista, Fresno, Bakersfield, San Marcos, <br />Anaheim and West Covina Campuses Only) <br />This scholarship is offered to students who do not <br />have traditional access to higher education <br />funding the opportunity to attend UEI College <br />programs. This scholarship is only available to <br />students who are of legal status in the United <br />States who are not eligible for traditional <br />education funding sources. In order to be eligible, <br />you must NOT have been convicted of a felony, <br />certain significant misdemeanors (including a <br />single DUI), or three or more misdemeanors of <br />any kind. <br />UEI Possibilities Scholarship (San Marcos, <br />Chula Vista ONLY) <br />This is an excellence -based scholarship program <br />available to students who graduated from any <br />San Diego High School in 2019 with a 2,5 GPA or <br />higher. The scholarship matches 50% of the <br />eligible students' Federal Pell Grant funding up to <br />$3098 per academic year. Must provide High <br />School transcripts to verify. Must be verified by <br />Community Outreach Specialist. <br />NOTE: Student is not eligible for any other <br />scholarship with UEI Possibilities Scholarship. <br />Educational Partnership Scholarship <br />(Gardena Campus Only) <br />United Education Institute d/b/a LEI College <br />provides one scholarship on an annual basis to a <br />student enrolled under the Workforce Innovation <br />and Opportunity Act. The scholarship covers the <br />balance of any tuition/fees not covered by the <br />Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, up to <br />the maximum amount of $3,000. Thescholarship <br />is awarded to the student that is nominated by the <br />South Bay Workforce Investment Board during a <br />calendar year. This scholarship cannot be <br />combined with any other institutional scholarship. <br />Outside Scholarship Programs <br />Scholarship Eligibility and Awarding Policy: <br />1. Applicant must be an active student <br />attending a UEI college Campus. <br />2. All applicants must apply <br />3. Must be in good standing. <br />Scholarship terms and conditions: <br />1. Outside scholarship will be credited to <br />the student's account upon receipt of <br />payment from agency. <br />2. Awards are subject to fund eligibility. <br />Other Available Financial Assistance <br />Programs <br />UEI Institutional Loan Program <br />This loan program is available to students who <br />need additional financial assistance for tuition <br />and fees. The minimum loan amount is $500 with <br />repayment terms between 12 to 60 months. <br />Veterans Benefits <br />The GI Bill® and Post 9/11 GI Bill® are a few of <br />the VA programs available for our veteran <br />students.
