P"'J', I Rcrllmtds HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEYS & CONTEXT STATEMENTS Historic resources surveys and context statements are key informational and planning tools that enable municipalities and the public to make informed land -use decisions regarding identified historic resources. ARG's context statements clearly and concisely integrate the varied historic themes, patterns, and trends that substantiate the significance of a specific event, property, site, or community. In conducting a historic resources survey, ARG evaluates the properties in a given location with respect to the historic themes, patterns, and trends identified in the context statement.
