MINUTES: City Manager Kristine Ridge provided brief updates on COVID-19: <br />• Stay home order lifted <br />• Testing site for Santa Ana residents beginning Wednesday, February 3 and <br />appointments <br />• Vaccines <br />• Compliance efforts <br />5. Community Choice Aggregation —Public Works Agency <br />MINUTES: Executive Director of Public Works Agency Nabil Saba and consultant Edward K. <br />Aghjayan provided a brief presentation. <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT — The City Attorney will report on any action(s) from Closed <br />Session. <br />MINUTES: City Attorney Sonia Carvalho announced that Council will reconvene to Closed <br />Session at the conclusion of the Regular Open Session and Housing Authority meeting. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT — Public comments will be held during the beginning of the meeting for <br />ALL comments on agenda and non -agenda items, except for public hearings. Comments for <br />public hearings will take place after the hearing is opened. <br />MINUTES: Clerk of the Council, Daisy Gomez, reported out correspondence received. <br />• Yoselinda urged council to make the rental assistance program accessible and <br />spoke on various other topics. <br />• Christina Sanchez, with the Latino Food Industry Associations spoke regarding Item <br />22. <br />• David Carbajal spoke regarding rental assistance funds and tenant rights. <br />• City Manager Kristine Ridge noted that staff would go out to the community and <br />provide rental assistance outreach. <br />• Marci Lopez spoke regarding rental assistance, respective response times and <br />educational how-to videos. <br />• Kourtney spoke regarding COVID testing and expressed concern with hardships the <br />community is facing and various other topics. <br />• Tish Leon spoke regarding Item 24 and the importance of having a Senior Advisory <br />Commission. In addition, expressed concern with the technology divide seniors are <br />presented with as it pertains to Housing Section 8. <br />• Victor Mendez spoke regarding Item 21. <br />City Council 6 2/2/2021 <br />
