CityAttorney's Office <br />Highlights thincluding <br />Responded to 1266 requests for legal service (as of April 30 ) ncluding <br />preparation of agreements, ordinances, resolutions, and general legal advice. <br />• Initiated nuisance abatement litigation against several local motels and <br />commercial property owners resulting in settlements improving the <br />conditions of the surrounding neighborhoods. <br />• Defended in-house 57 litigation matters brought against the City and its <br />employees and managed additional litigation assigned to outside counsel. <br />• Obtained several administrative abatement warrants to clean up weed and <br />rubbish conditions and other nuisance conditions on certain private <br />properties. <br />• Participated in the City CARES Act task force to distribute funding for COVID- <br />19 relief measures. <br />• Continued support for all City departments regarding the ongoing local <br />emergency due to COVID-19. <br />20 <br />
