• Confidentiality of health records and information <br />• Access to custody information <br />• Availability and use of health records <br />• Transfer of health records <br />• Retention of health records <br />• Informed consent <br />• Right to refuse treatment <br />Additionally, the RFP must reflect compliance with applicable State and County Departments of <br />Health requirements, including requirements related to the control and tracking of communicable <br />and reportable diseases, and must reflect compliance with all applicable state and federal standards <br />for inmate healthcare. <br />C. Technical Advisor <br />Serve as a technical advisor to the selection committee in evaluating proposals and assisting in the <br />selection of a medical provider. <br />D. Monitor/Auditor <br />Consultant shall monitor and evaluate the performance of the selected medical provider for a period <br />of six (6) months from the date the correctional healthcare services contract is effective. <br />Monitoring/Auditing shall include but not be limited to contract compliance, compliance with <br />relevant laws and regulations, observance of best practices, staffing, billing, utilization, pharmacy, <br />inmate access to care, and medical records. <br />Contractor responsibilities under this section shall include a combination of remote consultation, <br />records review, and quarterly site visits to consist of no less that two (2) contract monitoring site <br />visits during the term of this agreement. <br />
