PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF STUDENTS <br />At AC, the student is assumed to have a high degree of loyalty and responsibility to the College, as well as to himself or <br />herself in personal, social, and intellectual pursuits. Students are expected to always conduct themselves in a professional <br />manner. This includes the student attitude, actions, appearance, and attire. The administration of Advanced College has the <br />authority to take appropriate action through the administrative disciplinary measures if this code of conduct is not adhered <br />to. The student may be dismissed for the following types of misconduct: <br />1. Any type of dishonesty including cheating, plagiarism, knowingly furnishing false information to the school, alteration <br />or use of college identification documents with the intent to defraud. <br />2. Any type of dishonesty, including cheating, plagiarism, knowingly furnishing false information to the school, <br />alternation, or use of College identification documents with the intent to defraud. <br />3. The use, possession, or distribution of alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, firearms, weapons, explosives and/or <br />dangerous chemicals on college premises. <br />4. Intentional disruption or obstruction of teaching, administration, disciplinary proceedings, public meetings and <br />programs, or other college activities. <br />5. Failure to comply with directions of school officials acting in the performance of their duties. <br />6. Physical or verbal abuse of any person on school premises or at college -sponsored or supervised functions. <br />7. Blatant disrespect directed toward staff, instructors, or other students. <br />8. Theft of AC property or damage to college premises or to the property of a member of the school community on the <br />college premises. <br />q. Copying college software or placing any personal software onto school computers or bringing their hardware without <br />staff permission. <br />1o. Any violation of federal, state, or local law on AC premises or at AC sponsored functions. <br />n. The college is not responsible for the loss of personal property belonging to students in any building or on any grounds <br />owned by the college. <br />12. Students not in compliance with the professional dress standards will be sent home and recorded absent. <br />AC reserves the right to make the administrative and educational decisions as to whether Code of Conduct has been violated, <br />All cases are reviewed on an individual basis. The college's decision is final. <br />13 <br />
