<br />To the general public, the final results of a disciplinary proceeding, subject to the requirements of § 99.39, if the
<br />school determines the student is an alleged perpetrator of a crime of violence or non -forcible sex offense and the
<br />student has committed a violation of the school's rules or policies with respect to the allegation made against

<br />RECORD RETENTION
<br />All student records are kept in a locked cabinet. Access to student records is restricted to management. Records are
<br />maintained for five years before they are archived, and academic transcripts are maintained indefinitely.

<br />TITLE IX NONDISCRIMINATION AND NON -HARASSMENT POLICY
<br />Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1992 is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. It provides, in
<br />part: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of,
<br />or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." Sex
<br />discrimination includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. While compliance with the
<br />law is everyone's responsibility at AC, listed below is the staff member who has primary responsibility for 'Title IX
<br />Compliance. Note: While this individual has specific areas of responsibilities, anyone should feel comfortable reporting all
<br />allegations to any employee of the College, who will follow the College's procedures concerning Title IX.

<br />SEXUAL MISCONDUCT POLICY
<br />If you or someone you know is a victim of sexual assault or any other type of sexual misconduct prohibited under this policy,
<br />you are strongly encouraged to seek immediate assistance from the Title IX Coordinator who will direct you to nearest
<br />resource agency. AC encourages diversity and welcomes applications from all minority groups. The College does not
<br />discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, non -disqualifying, disability, gender, sexual
<br />orientation, marital status, or veteran status in the recruitment of students, or in the implementation of its policies,
<br />procedures, and activities. Sexual harassment is a prohibited aspect of sexual discrimination under this policy. It is the
<br />College's policy to maintain an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Everyone has the
<br />right to learn in an atmosphere free from discriminatory practices, including sexual harassment and harassment based on
<br />race, religion, gender, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran
<br />status, or any other legally protected status. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated at the
<br />College. Harassment is verbal or physical conduct that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion towards an individual
<br />because of his or her protected status, or that of persons with whom the individual associates. For example, racial
<br />harassment includes harassment based on an immutable characteristic associated with race (e.g., skin color or facial
<br />features).
<br />The institution prohibits sexual harassment including, but not limited to:
<br />t• Coerced sexual acts;
<br />Touching or assaulting an individual's body, or staring, in a sexual manner;
<br />v Graphic, verbal commentary about an individual's body or sexuality;
<br />d• Unwelcome or offensive sexual jokes, sexual language, sexual epithets, sexual gossip, sexual comments, or sexual
<br />inquiries;
<br />d• Unwelcome flirtations, advances, or propositions;
<br />d• Continuing to ask an individual for a date after the individual has indicated that he or she is not interested;
<br />Sexually suggestive or obscene comments or gestures;
<br />4 The display of graphic and sexually suggestive objects, pictures, or graffiti or any computer -generated sexually explicit
<br />pictures or graffiti;
<br />Negative statements or disparaging remarks targeted at one's gender (either men or women), even if the content of the
<br />verbal abuse is not sexual in nature; or,
<br />48 Any form of retaliation against an individual for complaining about the type of behavior described above or supporting
<br />the complaint of the alleged victim.
<br />AC encourages individuals who believe they are being harassed or discriminated against to firmly and promptly notify the
