LR 6/15/21 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021-036 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING REVISED BYLAWS FOR THE <br />YOUTH COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, on September 1, 2020, Ordinance No. NS-2992 was adopted by the <br />City Council, modernizing the municipal code by organizing and consolidating all boards, <br />commission, and committee matters into Chapter 2; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. NS-2992 made changes to various municipal code <br />provisions relating to the City's appointed boards and commission including centralizing <br />the general requirements applicable to all boards and commission in one location; <br />WHEREAS, revised bylaws for the Youth Commission were developed to be in <br />alignment with Ordinance No. NS-2992 in this respect and others; and <br />WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 2-453 requires that the City <br />Council approve the Youth Commission bylaws. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana as follows: <br />Section 1. The revised bylaws for the Youth Commission, attached as Exhibit <br />A, are hereby approved. <br />Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 2021. <br />Vicente Sarmiento <br />Mayor <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Sonia R.
