The training will allow <br />students to develop the skills to coordinate a <br />message once developed and to modify if <br />problems or sources of confusion arise. It <br />discusses techniques to develop strategic <br />messaging in support of incident action plans, <br />managing joint information centers including <br />personnel and stress. <br />Community Mass care and This course prepares jurisdictions to manage $17,000 <br />Emergency Assistance (G108) Mass Care and Emergency Assistance <br />functions effectively and work together to plan <br />and provide Mass Care Emergency Assistance <br />services. This course also provides <br />jurisdictions with an understanding of Mass <br />Care and Emergency Assistance roles and <br />responsibilities for the Local, OA, Region, and <br />State levels. <br />This course is designed to enable the non-technical <br />Mitigation for Emergency $22,000 <br />emergency worker to acquire skills in the use of <br />Managers (G393) <br />mitigation. The course provides training on how to <br />perform mitigation activities fundamental to <br />reducing and eliminating long-term risks to human <br />life, property and the environment from hazards. <br />The course also addresses the important roles of <br />the emergency program manager (or other local <br />government representative) in mitigation: <br />motivator, coordinator, and monitor in local <br />implementation of the National Mitigation <br />Strategy. <br /> <br /> <br />
