2021-22 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center <br />Youth Employment Program - WIOA Proposal <br />contribute ideas/information on how to better serve the youth in Santa Ana. Also, Youth attend <br />other important community events representing OCCTAC and the Santa Ana community. Finally, <br />they are also asked to do presentations to other youth in the community to inspire and share <br />their experience with other youth in Santa Ana and contribute to a better future for our <br />communityl <br />B. Indicate the number of youth that will participate in the civic engagement or leadership <br />development opportunity — All WIOA youth are requested to engage in leadership <br />development opportunities at OCCTAC and the community, through civic engagement and <br />leadership opportunities throughout the year! <br />12. Supportive Services: <br />A. Will your organization provide supportive services to youth such as gas cards, bus pass, <br />childcare assistance, etc. if so, please describe. — Yes. All youth will be provided with <br />supportive services during all phases of the WIOA program. Supportive services are available to <br />those youth approved for the program that show limited resources to meet basic needs, and <br />have expressed to our case manager or educational/career counselor the need for additional <br />support services. <br />W10A youth enrolled at OCCTAC are eligible for the following (as long as funds are available): <br />1. 30 day bus passes: Every month as long as they provide proof of a steady attendance <br />to all WIOA activities and or accomplish employment or educational goals <br />2. ACCESS Coupon Books: Every other week as long as they provide proof of a steady <br />attendance to all WIOA activities and or accomplish employment or educational goals <br />3. Gas Cards: Every month as long as they provide proof of a steady attendance to all <br />WIOA activities and or need to accomplish employment or educational goals. As well <br />as proof of their license. <br />4. Academic Supplies: All WIOA participants are eligible for academic supplies, such as: <br />planners, USB drives and backpacks. For students who have entered post -secondary <br />education we are able to purchase some, if not all, of their college course books. For <br />those who have entered a credential program some if not all fees can be paid off. <br />5. Work Related: All participants are eligible for work related material when needed, to <br />help obtain or keep employment such as portfolios, clothing etc. <br />6. Child/Dependent Care: Participants may receive assistance with childcare or <br />dependent care through the provision of $50 payment to institution/childcare <br />provider of their choice. This will enable them to participate in WIOA activities and/or <br />accomplish employment or educational goals. <br />B. Include the Supportive Service Policy as Attachment G. <br />Please see attached OCCTAC Supportive Services Policy for more specific details. <br />13. Incentives (1 page max): <br />A. Will your organization provide incentives to youth for accomplishing program <br />benchmarks or personal goals, if so, please describe. — Yes, WIOA staff will be providing <br />youth with incentives that will encourage them to accomplish their program benchmarks <br />and personal goals, in order to move forward in employment and education. <br />18 <br />
