C <br />N 0!-- ,0CE ON FILE <br />Cn On:h MAY PROCEED <br />O NtIL 46URANCEEXPIRES N-2021-154 <br />�Lrcn OF COUNCIL <br />CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into on this 5th day of August, 2021 by and <br />between Jeanette Pletcher doing business as Beez Kneez Creative ("Consultant"), and the City of <br />Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution <br />and laws of the State of California ("City"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. The City desires to retain a Consultant having special skill and knowledge in the field of <br />curriculum design and development, program evaluation, and professional development. <br />B. Consultant represents that Consultant is able and willing to provide such services to the <br />City. Consultant has an extensive background working with zoos and aquariums <br />throughout the United States on similar initiatives. <br />C. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Consultant represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in its field and that any services performed by Consultant under this <br />Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be <br />expected from a professional consulting firm in the field. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall perform during the term of this Agreement, as needed consulting services <br />for development of education programs for Santa Ana youth and families at the Santa Ana Zoo as <br />part of the 2021-2022 Santa Ana Zoo Community Connections: Zoo & You series. Consultant <br />will also provide as needed facilitated workshops to train Zoo staff members leading the <br />Community Connections programs, as well as, program evaluations and recommendations for any <br />improvements to the programs. City shall confirm each assignment for services pursuant to this <br />Agreement via email. <br />2. COMPENSATION <br />a.
