America Truck Driving School Catalog Jan. 11- Dec. 31' 2021 <br />Student Housing <br />The school does not provide housing to students. The school also does not assist in finding room in board. <br />Daily housing ranges from $50-$90 a day. Monthly housing ranges from $1200 to $1500. <br />Student Records and Right of Privacy <br />The federal right of privacy act enables all students to review their academic records, including grades, <br />attendance, and counseling reports. Student records are confidential and only such agencies or individuals <br />authorized by law are allowed access without written permission of the student. State law requires the school to <br />maintain these records for a minimum of five years. Students may request a review of their records by writing <br />to the director of the school. <br />Grievance Procedure <br />Persons seeking to resolve problems or complaints should first contact the instructor in charge. Requests for <br />further action may be made to the Director, Santiago Rodriguez by phone at (951) 277-013. If the matter is still <br />unresolved, the next step is to explain the problem in writing to the school's president. A student or any <br />member of the public may file a complaint about this institution with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary <br />Education by calling 1 (888) 370-7589 or by completing a complaint form, which can be obtained on the <br />bureau's Internet Web site www.bp_pe.ca.gov. <br />Records Retention <br />All student transcripts are maintained permanently. Enrollees are advised and cautioned that state law requires <br />this educational institution to maintain school and student records for at least a period of five years. These <br />records are maintained and securely stored in a locked fire -proof cabinet. These are locked and only office <br />administrators with permission may view them. <br />Job Search Assistance <br />America Truck Driving School provides job placement assistance. The school maintains contact with local and <br />long-distance carriers regarding their driver needs. This information is made available to our students and <br />graduates. <br />State Licensing Requirements <br />Residents of California are required to have a Commercial driver's license to drive a commercial vehicle. In <br />order to become licensed as a Commercial drive, applicants must have a valid Class C driver's license and must <br />pass a California Department of Motor Vehicles driving examination at a location specified by the department. <br />The examination is a state requirement. The program offered by the school will prepare the student for this <br />examination. At no additional cost to its graduates, the school will set an appointment as soon as possible after <br />graduation and provide the proper vehicle and licensed employee for the purpose of testing. In the event a <br />person fails, the school will set an appointment for re -testing. Appointments for initial testing take priority. <br />Notice Concerning Transferability of Credits and Credentials Earned at our Institution <br />and Other Institutions <br />The transferability of credits you earn at America Truck Driving School is at the complete discretion of the <br />institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the diploma you earn in the educational program is <br />also at the discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. If the diploma that you earn at this <br />institution is not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or <br />all of your coursework at that institution. For this reason, you should make certain that your attendance at this <br />institution will meet your educational goals. This may include contacting an institution to which you may seek <br />to transfer after attending America Truck Driving School to determine if your diploma will transfer. <br />6 <br />
