DocuSIgn Envelope ID: AC11B5A1-DF88-4F2A-9236-9DDDF1098ACD <br />However, FERPA allows schools to disclose those records, without consent, to the following parties or under <br />the following conditions (34 CFR § 99.31): <br />• School officials with legitimate educational interest; <br />• Other schools to which a student is transferring; <br />• Specified officials for audit or evaluation purposes; <br />• Appropriate parties in connection with financial aid to a student; <br />• Organizations conducting certain studies for or on behalf of the school; <br />• Accrediting organizations; <br />• To comply with a judicial order or lawfully issued subpoena; <br />• Appropriate officials in cases of health and safety emergencies; and <br />• State and local authorities, within a juvenile justice system, pursuant to specific State law. <br />Airstreams may disclose, without consent, "directory" information. Airstreams policy is to only release <br />student's name, dates of attendance and degrees, honors and awards. You may request that the school not <br />disclose directory information about you in writing. <br />Please be aware that if anyone contacts Airstreams on your behalf, staff will be limited to providing directory <br />information that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed unless <br />written permission from you is on file, If you would like to grant permission for someone to have access to <br />your records (e.g., potential employers), please complete a Release of Information Form and return to <br />Admissions on the first day of class. <br />This policy is adhered to without exception. <br />The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords eligible students certain rights with respect <br />to their education records. These include: <br />1. The right to inspect and review the student's education records within 45 days after the day <br />Airstreams Renewables, Inc. receives a request for access. A student should submit a written request <br />that identifies the record(s) the student wishes to inspect. The school official will make arrangements <br />for access and notify the student of the time and place where the records may be inspected. If the <br />records are not maintained by the school official to whom the request was submitted, that official <br />shall advise the student of the correct official to whom the request should be addressed. <br />2. The right to request an amendment of the student's education records that the student believes are <br />inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise in violation of the student's privacy rights under FERPA. <br />3. The right to provide written consent before Airstreams Renewables, Inc, discloses personally <br />identifiable information (PII) from the student's education records, except to the extent that FERPA <br />authorizes disclosure without consent. <br />4. The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by <br />Airstreams Renewables, Inc. to comply with the requirements of FERPA.
