Accreditation <br />Pacific College is accredited by the WASC Senior College and <br />WWUniversity Commission (WSCUC). <br />WSCUC is a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. <br />Senior College and Department of Education as certifying institutional eligibility for <br />University Commission federal funding in a number of programs, including student access <br />to federal financial aid. <br />The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-to-BSN Completion) <br />degree program offered by Pacific College is accredited by the <br />Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). <br />CCNrE CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency officially recognized <br />by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accreditation <br />agency. <br />Approvals <br />Pacific College is a private institution approved to operate by the <br />California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval <br />to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum <br />® standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary <br />A064k Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of <br />the California Code of Regulations. <br />PP E BPPE oversees California's private postsecondary educational <br />institutions by conducting reviews of educational programs and <br />Bum torPnvztePoslsewaaaryEducauon operating standards, impartially resolving student and consumer <br />complaints, and conducting outreach. <br />The Vocational Nursing programs offered by Pacific College are <br />T approved by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric <br />Technicians (BVNPT). <br />BOARD OF VOCATIONAL NURSING BVNPT establishes the minimum requirements for examination <br />AND PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIANS and licensure, and educational standards for the accreditation of <br />Vocational Nursing (VN) and Psychiatric Technicians (PT) schools <br />in California. <br />B0. <br />The pre-licensure Registered Nursing program offered by <br />Pacific College is approved by the California Board of Registered <br />Nursing (BRN). <br />BRN is a state governmental agency established by law to protect <br />the public by regulating the practice of registered nurses; it is <br />responsible for implementation and enforcement of the Nursing <br />Practice Act: the laws related to nursing education, licensure, <br />practice, and discipline. <br />2020-2021 Catalog Pacific College <br />
