History <br />Pacific College was established in 1993 with the purpose of providing high -quality education responsive <br />to the training needs of medical studies aspirants, as well as to the employment demands in professional <br />allied health and business occupations. New programs are periodically added to our offerings to meet the <br />demands of our community. <br />The Board of Directors is comprised of educators from the community college, the state university <br />system, and medical doctors. The members of the Board of Directors have experience teaching in the <br />community college or university system. <br />Pacific College was first accredited in April 1998 by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and <br />Colleges (ACCSC). Regional accreditation was granted by the WASC Senior College and University <br />Commission (WSCUC) in February of 2016. <br />Pacific College was first approved by the Board of Vocational Nurses & Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) <br />in January, 1999 to operate the Vocational Nursing program. <br />In October 1998, Pacific College became authorized to offer Title IV funding for those students who <br />qualify by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). <br />In 2014 the Pacific College Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN to BSN completion program, was <br />accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). <br />Mission <br />Pacific College is committed to providing the highest standards in education by striving to foster a <br />continuous process of intellectual growth, character development, and academic integrity to achieve <br />professional and personal success in the student's chosen profession. <br />Vision <br />Pacific College is recognized as a progressive learning environment where the values of professionalism, <br />altruism, collaboration, and a sense of personal and professional identity are the primary objectives for <br />inclusion as a member of a global and diverse community. <br />Values <br />Our values are stated using the acronym PACIFIC: <br />Professionalism - As an individual or institution, we demonstrate professionalism in everything we <br />do. <br />Altruism - As an individual or institution, we practice the principle of unselfish concern for the <br />wellness of others. <br />Community - As an individual or institution, we share responsibility for the welfare of our <br />community. <br />Identity - As an individual or institution, we strive to establish a sense of true being that will <br />determine our future. <br />Fulfillment - As an individual or institution, we create an environment where academic and <br />professional goals can be achieved. <br />Inclusion - As an individual or institution, we embrace differences to promote full participation and a <br />sense of belonging. <br />Collaboration - As an individual or institution, we work as a team to realize shared goals. <br />2020-2021 Catalog Pacific College <br />
