Sora Tanjasiri, DrPH <br />Role: Evaluation Co -Lead and Subaward Site Co -PI <br />Affiliation: Associate Director, Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor, Dept. of <br />Epidemiology, Program in Public Health, University of California Irvine (MSI) <br />Dr. Tanjasiri is a behavioral scientist with 23 years of experience applying community -based participatory <br />research (CBPR) to developing and testing cancer prevention and cancer early detection interventions for <br />disparity populations, particularly Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She has served as PI, Shared <br />PI, or Co -PI on more than a dozen CBPR studies to address cancer and other health disparities. She also <br />serves as the Associate Director for Cancer Health Disparities and Community Engagement for the UCI <br />Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Previous research -related leadership roles have included <br />training director or co -director on two large center projects to promote health disparities research, create <br />community partnerships, recruit and retain diverse populations in longitudinal studies, and identify <br />efficacious approaches to improving the health care of racial/ethnic minority populations. Last, she has <br />led three studies to assess the impacts of COVID on ethnic/racial populations, resulting in two <br />publications with another four in development or under review. <br />Her role in HEAL-OC is that of Evaluation Co -Lead and Site Co -PI for the Minority Serving Institution. <br />Dr. Tanjasiri will lead the evaluation of the Population Track and provide periodic quality improvement <br />feedback to the PD/PI, Project Manager and Implementation Core leads. <br />Complete List of Published Work: <br />litn�//w r ncbi nlrn nihLyom/ i s/m ncbi�rataniasiri tlbihliography/40832819/public/ <br />John Billimek, PhD <br />Role: Evaluation Co -Lead and Subaward Site Co -PI <br />Affiliation: Co -Director, Program in Medical Education for Latino Communities (PRIME -LC) <br />Residency Track, Vice Chair and Associate Professor, Department of Family Medicine, School of <br />Medicine, University of California, Irvine (MSI) <br />Dr. Billimek is an experienced community engaged researcher in the Department of Family Medicine and <br />Health Policy Research Institute and PI of 2 NIH/NHLBI grants focused on addressing underuse of <br />medical services in underserved Latino communities. As lead evaluator on the LiveHealthyOC project, he <br />guided the development and evaluation of culturally acceptable interventions to promote prevention and <br />disease management for low-income Latino and AAPI patients at seven community health centers <br />(CHCs) with the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers, and has served on quality <br />improvement task forces to reduce disparities in CHC settings. He collaborated with Latino Health Access <br />to develop an evaluation report for their diabetes health education promotora program.
