• Census Block equivalency files and shapefiles for a backup of district lines in <br />latest US Census geographic data. <br />Optional Elements <br />Beyond the Fair Maps Act five meeting structure, contracts can be adjusted to allow for <br />additional public meetings or interactive workshops. <br />Additional outreach programs, including in -language outreach, are available through <br />Redistricting Partners sub -vendors. These can range from small engagements to create <br />materials and promotions for public engagement, and grow into large entailing, mass - <br />mailing, digital, radio and cable TV ads promoting the redistricting process. Language <br />services are also available through a sub -vendor contract. <br />Two different online mapping tools are available through Redistricting Partners. The <br />first is Maptitude Online Redistricting from Caliper Corporation. The second is a public <br />community engagement and district mapping tool developed by Tufts University and <br />managed by Redistricting Partners. Video demonstrations of each product are available <br />here: hops: / /!iaurl.com/ RDPmapping <br />Additional training hearings can be added to the beginning of the process and are a <br />great way to produce a knowledgeable and empowered advisory committee, <br />commission or board. We are contracting with subject matter experts and past <br />redistricting commissioners to perform trainings on increasing sensitivity to the needs <br />of minority communities, the importance of not cracking or packing communities of <br />interest, the rights of protected classes, and applicable federal voting rights act laws. <br />One of our expert trainers is former 2011-2020 Statewide Redistricting Commissioner <br />Connie Galambos Malloy, who we are working with on the Long Beach Independent <br />Redistricting Commission. <br />
