INSURANCE NOT REGOI EO N-2021-184 <br />WORK MAY PROCEED SEP 2 i 2021 <br />CLERK OF COMIL <br />)z,N <br />Waymakers GUIDING POSITIVE AND <br />LASTING CHANGE <br />Operational Agreement <br />a r�i'}e.. �'ot,Jetrk� GSµ�I <br />This Operational Agreement shall stand as evidence that Waymakers Human Trafficking Program <br />and Santa Ana Police Department intend to work together toward the mutual goal of providing <br />maximum available assistance for victims of human trafficking identified in and/or living in Orange <br />County. <br />Santa Ana Police Department agrees to provide all activities mandated in §13835.4 through §13835.5 <br />of the California Penal Code, and working in collaboration with community resources to ensure that <br />victims and their families have access to supportive resources in the aftermath of crime. <br />Waymakers Human Trafficking Program agrees to provide support services for all victims of human <br />trafficking including, but not limited to: <br />• Provide 24-hour, evening and weekend response <br />• Ensure that victims have access to emergency shelter services and temporary housing options <br />• Meet basic victim needs for food, clothing and personal items <br />• Provide intensive case management <br />• Maintain a Therapist Referral List, with bilingual clinicians, who have experience working with <br />victims of crime <br />• Provide resources and referrals to community and social services <br />• Meet the needs for both emergency and non -emergency transportation <br />• Refer to approved subcontractor to provide a "legal check-up" for victims of all forms of human <br />trafficking <br />• Emergency financial assistance <br />• Provide victim advocacy and information on crime victims' rights <br />• Assist victims in accessing literacy education, job training, and life skills training <br />Cross training for Waymakers Human Trafficking Program and Santa Ana Police Department staff <br />will be coordinated and will cover all subjects related to human trafficking victimization and trauma - <br />informed service provision. <br />Waymakers Human Trafficking Program main point of contact for this Operational Agreement Lita <br />Mercado, Director, can be contacted at ImercadoCawaymakersoc.oro.
