HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION MINUTES 7 July 11, 2019 Commissioner Hardy • Congratulated the Chair and Vice Chair on their re-election. • Inquired about the number of nominations for the Historic Preservation Awards. Commissioner Hitterdale • Thanked Commission and staff for efforts to establish a process for forwarding recommendations to City Council. Commissioner Rush • Thanked staff for working on concerns regarding historically sensitive neighborhoods. • Congratulated the Chair and Vice Chair on their re-election. • Congratulated homeowners on designations. • Hopes to address issues during the workshop. • Opined that application fees should be reduced. Commissioner Murashie • Thanked staff and members of the public who spoke, and commissioners for their research. • City website has a map identifying historical properties throughout the city. • Encouraged commissioners to discuss concerns with their appointing Council member. • Opined that navigating the City website to locate historic applications is difficult.
