N/A <br /> <br />Name of Program Number of Properties that have Benefited <br />N/A N/A <br /> <br />IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM CLG REQUIREMENTS, OHP IS INTERESTED IN A SUMMARY OF LOCAL PRESERVATION <br />PROGRAMS <br /> <br />A. What are your most critical preservation planning issues? Most critical preservation planning issues are <br />consistent with last reporting period, including preparing context statements and new surveys. In <br />addition, complying with state legislation requiring inspection of Mills Act properties. <br /> <br />B. What is the single accomplishment of your local government this year that has done the most to further preservation in your <br />community? Staff’s continued work on establishing a separate Historic Preservation Element in our <br />updated General Plan. To date staff has drafted a Policy Framework (goals and policies) for the Draft <br />Historic Preservation Element. What recognition are you providing for successful preservation projects or programs? Second annual Historic <br />Preservation Awards program was continued during the 2018-2019 reporting period to recognize and <br />reward historic property owners who have rehabilitated or preserved historic resource s. Three awards <br />were granted this year. <br /> <br />D. How did you meet or not meet the goals identified in your annual report for last year? Goals for the Santa Ana Historic <br />Program for 2018-2019 included re-evaluating the Mills Act Program, establishing a Ten Year <br />Rehabilitation/Maintenance Plan, and undergoing Historic Context and Surveys which were not met as <br />desired. However, staff did assist more homeowners with inquiries regarding Historic Restoration loans <br />and through the process of exterior alterations to registered historic properties. <br /> <br />E. What are your local historic preservation goals for 2018-2019? Goals for the Santa Ana Historic Program for 2019- <br />2020 will include complying with state legislation requiring inspection of Mills Act properties (Every 5 <br />D - 15
