Board Member and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park, 1977 -92, Chair 79 -81, Received "Man & Boy" award as well, Member and Program Chairman Bellflower Rotary Club 1984 -91. In addition recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow 1987, Member Washington Square Neighborhood Association 1987 -2001. Chaired many committees during that time. Served as President for 2 Ya yrs, from 1997 -1999. Commissioner for the City Community Redevelopment Commission 1991 -93 (1 resigned) 1994 1 was involved in fund raising for the "Friends of the Santa Ana Library ", with Library director Rob Richard Neighborhood Hero Award class of 1999 (1 think). Nominated again from Wilshire Square, but nomination deferred as I was already a recipient. Chaired the restoration project for the clock tower of The Wm. H. Spurgeon Building 1994 -96, which was a joint effort of The Downtown Merchants Association, Santa Ana Firemen's Association & The Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society, Project Lead Walking Tour Map of the Historic Downtown, this project happened in partnership with SA Historical Preservation Society and the City /Community Development Agency. Board Member for the Discovery Museum /Centennial Heritage Museum /OC Heritage Museum, 1996 -2009, Chair 2009. Co -Chair with Diane Marsh of the Historic Resources Committee, the precursor to the Historic Resources Commission of the City. Received "City of Santa Ana Commendation & Tim Rush Day in Santa Ana" from the City Council 11/16/ 98 Board Member French Park Neighborhood Association 2002 -2004 Co -Host of "Tim's Town" on the City's Cable channel with Troy Kinsey from approximately 2000 -2005, this program showcased many interesting historical and quirky venues in Santa Ana. Board Member & Second Vice President Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society (and for the past several years Associate Board Member)1990 to present. President, Wilshire Square Neighborhood Association 2004 -2007. Vice President 2008, 09, President 2016.
