o If a non -high school graduate, take an ability to benefit test (only for CNA and HHA) <br />o Attend a New Student Orientation. <br />o Complete, sign, an Enrollment Agreement and Performance Fact Sheet. <br />o Sign documents acknowledging receipt of disclosure forms. <br />o Pay a Registration Fee of $100.00. <br />o Meet the required health status (Physical Exam, Negative Chest X-Ray, Negative TB <br />Test and other program specific requirements) as validated by a physician before <br />acceptance into the program. <br />o The student must be free of communicable diseases to be considered for the Allied <br />Health programs. <br />Student Parking <br />Student parking is available. Professional Career Development Center is not responsible for <br />parking violations, property theft, and property damage. The school has access to a parking lot <br />with 60 spaces and 2 handicapped parking spaces at the building. <br />Advising Services <br />The staff of Professional Career Development center makes every effort to maintain close <br />communication with its students. Students have access to faculty and administrative staff for <br />vocational and academic advising. Students experiencing personal problems, which require <br />professional counseling and is requested by the student, will be referred to the appropriate <br />agencies. <br />Placement Services <br />Professional Career Development Center does not guarantee employment for its <br />graduates. The student services staff assists students in their job searches after they have <br />successfully completed their studies, by offering information on job opportunities and guidance in <br />resume preparation and interviewing techniques. Career -planning concepts are also integrated <br />into the curriculum in all programs. Students participate in specific sessions that cover <br />interviewing techniques, networking, resume writing, and professional dress and conduct. <br />Professional Career Development Center's Placement Assistance Department provides <br />assistance as students near their completion date and beyond graduation. Delays in course <br />completion may result in delaying employment assistance activity. Professional Career <br />Development Center cannot and does not guarantee employment. <br />Language of instruction Policy <br />Professional Career Development Center does not offer an English as a Second Language <br />course. For programs taught in English, English language proficiency is documented during the <br />admission interview and receipt of prior -education documentation, or the successful completion of <br />the Ability to Benefit test as stated in the admission process. Students taking programs taught in <br />English are required to speak in English.
