Department(s): Planning and Building Agency <br />Recommended Action: Receive the progress report from the Housing Ad Hoc <br />Committee, discuss the recommendations, and provide direction to staff. <br />MINUTES: Executive Director of Planning and Building Agency Minh Thai <br />provided a brief presentation. <br />Council provided input and direction to staff. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Penaloza requested a work study session at a future independent <br />council meeting to incorporate stakeholders. <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge deferred to the ad hoc housing committee to create a <br />list of key stakeholders. <br />**END OF BUSINESS CALENDAR** <br />CITY MANAGER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: City Manager announced that the City will be providing free dental screenings <br />this Saturday July 10, at Southwest Senior Center. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />AB1234 DISCLOSURE— If the City paid for travel or other expenses this is the time for <br />members of the Council to provide a brief oral report on attendance of any regional board <br />or commission meeting or any conference, meeting or event attended. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Phan disclosed she will be attending League of California <br />Cities Conference in Sacramento, CA, September 2021. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Bacerra announced his office hours on July 10 and thanked <br />colleagues for adjourning in honor of Vladmir Goren. <br />Councilmember Hernandez thanked everyone for showing up and the youth for advocating <br />for skating distribution. <br />Councilmember Lopez thanked Orange County Fire Authority and the Santa Ana Police <br />Department for their work confiscating illegal fireworks and encouraged residents to attend <br />dental screening. <br />Councilmember Mendoza reminded residents to still wear a face mask in public settings <br />and encouraged residents to get vacciated. <br />City Council 17 7/6/2021 <br />
