Minor Exception No. 2021-01 - The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company (dba AT&T) <br />Front Yard Fence <br />July 7, 2021 <br />Page 3 <br />1 <br />8 <br />6 <br />9 <br />are to be included in all projects. This proposed seven-foot high fence will ensure that the <br />site is secure from continued nuisance activities. <br />Staff is supportive of the applicant’s request for the proposed fencing improvements. <br />Recommended conditions of approval include: painting the front of the building along Bristol <br />Street, installing and maintaining new landscaping, and obtaining building permits for the <br />proposed fence and replacing the building door. <br />Public Notification and Community Outreach <br />Project notifications were posted, published, and mailed in accordance with City and State <br />regulations. Copies of the public notice, including a 500-foot notification radius map, and <br />the site posting are provided in Exhibit 6. In addition to these measures, representatives <br />of the Republic Homes Neighborhood Association were contacted to identify any areas <br />of concern due to the proposed request. At the time this report was printed, no issues of <br />concern were raised regarding the proposed minor exception. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, <br />the project is exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15303 of the CEQA <br />Guidelines (Class 3 – New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) because the <br />project involves construction of an accessory structure such as a fence. Based on this <br />analysis, Notice of Exemption, Environmental Review No. 2021-69 will be filed for this <br />project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
