1.41 Food Recovery Service <br />"Food Recovery Service" means a person or entity that collects and transports Edible <br />Food from a Commercial Edible Food Generator to a Food Recovery Organization or <br />other entities for Food Recovery; or as otherwise defined in 14 CCR Section <br />18982(a)(26). <br />1.42 Food Waste <br />"Food Waste" means all food such as, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, meat, <br />poultry, seafood, shellfish, bones, rice, beans, pasta, bread, cheese, and eggshells; food - <br />soiled paper such as, but not limited to, compostable paper plates, paper coffee cups, <br />napkins, pizza boxes, and milk cartons; , and compostable plastics. Food Waste <br />excludes fats, oils, and grease when such materials are Source Separated from other <br />Food Waste. <br />1.43 Franchise <br />"Franchise" means the special right granted by City to operate a public utility for Solid <br />Waste services within the City. <br />1.44 Franchise Fee <br />"Franchise Fee" means the fee paid by Contractor to City for the right to hold the <br />Franchise for Solid Waste services granted by this Agreement. <br />1.45 Gross Receipts <br />"Gross Receipts" means and includes all revenues actually received by Contractor <br />arising from, or attributable to, the services provided by Contractor to its Customers in <br />the City pursuant to this Agreement, without deducting Disposal charges or any other <br />cost of doing business. Gross Receipts does not include any revenue received by <br />Contractor from the sales of Recyclable Materials, Compost, or fuel from anaerobic <br />digestion processing. <br />1.46 Hazardous Material <br />"Hazardous Material" is defined to include any hazardous or toxic substance, material <br />or waste which is or becomes regulated by any local governmental authority, the State <br />August 17, 2021 13 City of Santa Ana <br />
