Executive Director. Prior to each Shredding Event, Contractor shall coordinate with <br />City staff and/or public safety personnel to make arrangements for safe, convenient, <br />and effective access to and participation by City residents in the Shredding Event, and <br />shall procure all necessary insurance coverage. Each Shredding Event shall be designed <br />to accommodate up to a maximum of five (5) "Bankers" boxes of paper or other media <br />suitable for shredding from each Residential and Multi -Family Premises Customer <br />within the City that is participating in the Shredding Event. Residents participating in <br />the Shredding Event must be able to visually observe the materials they delivered to the <br />Shredding Event. Contractor shall publicize each Shredding Event through methods, <br />and using materials, approved by the Executive Director, at no cost to the City. <br />4.5.4 Compost Giveaway <br />Contractor shall provide one compost giveaway event per calendar year at no <br />additional charge. Santa Ana residents will be allowed to fill up their containers on a <br />first -come, first -serve basis. Contractor shall provide sixty (60) tons of compost material, <br />generated in the State of California, delivered to a location designated by the City. Any <br />compost material remaining after event shall be removed by Contractor. The compost <br />giveaway event will be coordinated with the City and can be held in conjunction with <br />other City events. <br />4.5.5 Medication Takeback Program <br />Contractor will assist the City in increasing awareness of medication takeback programs <br />provided by local pharmacies, or programs offered by other government entities. <br />Promotional activities will include: posting on Contractor's website, inclusion in the <br />Annual Brochures/Mailings mailed to each Residential Customer, quarterly <br />newsletters, social media targeted outreach, and press releases to local news outlets. <br />4.5.6 Environmental Ambassador Program <br />Contractor must establish an annual recognition program for commercial businesses in <br />the City. The Environmental Ambassador Program will be a voluntary program <br />managed entirely by Contractor, and certification may include refuse, water and energy <br />conservation, pollution prevention, and reduction of toxic substances in the workplace. <br />Businesses certified will be honored by Contractor at a City Council Meeting. <br />August 17, 2021 63 City of Santa Ana <br />
