COVID-19 UpdateCity Manager’s OfficeOctober 5, 2021Slide 5Employers with 100+ Employees• The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and health Administration (OSHA) is developing a rule that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to:– Ensure that their workforce is fully vaccinated.– Require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work.• The City of Santa Ana is evaluating this proposed rule to determine its applicability on public sector employees. • The City of Santa Ana is already pursuing this mandate with our employees. In our review, we will compare our proposed policies with OSHA’s rules. • We are currently initiating the meet-and-confer process with our labor unions to assess the impacts associated with a vaccine mandate and address any concerns.
