Araiza, Fatima
From:Margarita Carvajal <info@sg.actionnetwork.org>
Sent:Friday, December 03, 2021 12:11 PM
To:eComment
Subject:Letter of Support for FX Residences Development (12/7 - City Council Agenda Item#
16 in conjunction with Housing Authority Agenda#3)
City Clerk Council Members,
I am in strong support of the proposed FX Residences development on East Santa Ana
Boulevard, which would provide 16 high-quality Permanent Supportive Housing units to help
end our county's homelessness crisis. I work for Orange County Head Start and we have
multiple centers in Santa Ana. I am a family engagement advocate and we work closely with
our families to provide them with resources. I have struggled to provide families with
resources pertaining to Housing as it is very limited in California, specially for low-income
families such as the ones we work with. This project would mean many children and people in
general would get an opportunity at a better living situation. I've work with many families living
out of garages and on the street or in shelters. This is a very important project that I know is
needed.
Given the disproportionate impact the pandemic has had on low-income families, this
supportive housing will be more needed than ever as we look to rebuild our local economy
and end homelessness in our community.
Thank you for your courageous leadership in voting to approve this well-planned Permanent
Supportive Housing development. I am proud to support you in doing so.
Margarita Carvajal
mycarvajall@gmail.com
Orange, California 92868

1
