Mextli Lopez, resident and Tenants United Santa Ana representative, spoke in support of <br />rent control <br />Courtney Calderon spoke regarding rent control. <br />Ted Hancock, Santa Ana resident, spoke on rock landscape to aid water conservation. <br />Victor Mendez spoke on rent control, internal city matters, police commission meeting he <br />attended, contract contingencies regarding Item 23, thanked Councilmember Hernandez <br />regarding Item 36, and inquired about the flow of funds regarding item 40. <br />Idalia Rios spoke in support of rent control. <br />Joese Hernandez spoke in support of rent control, the waste hauler, Lastly, believes the <br />need to advocate for our youth regarding public safety. <br />Clerk of the Council, Daisy Gomez, reported out on correspondence received. <br />Kayleigh Levit, Tenants United Santa Ana volunteer, spoke regarding AB 1482 and rental <br />control ordinance. <br />Victor Payan, Director of Media Arts Santa Ana, excited that the Council declared Chicano <br />Heritage Month, announced upcoming art events, and noted recognition received by <br />Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Lastly, regarding Item 9 spoke <br />on the cannabis fund lacking funds for arts and requested to meet with staff to discuss <br />possibilities within the framework of serving the youth. <br />Daisy, Kennedy Commission representative, spoke in support of rent control. <br />Nathaniel Greensides spoke in support of rent control. <br />Yoselidna Mendoza, Tenants United Santa Ana volunteer counselor, spoke in support of <br />rent control. <br />Alondra Salazar spoke in support of rent control. <br />Jesus Santana spoke in support of rent control. <br />Karla Juarez, spoke in support of rent control. <br />Silvia Hernandez spoke in support of rent control. <br />Luis Tonalli spoke in support of rent control. <br />City Council 6-6 18/27/2021 <br />
