Homeless Update <br />City Manager’s Office <br />November 16, 2021 <br />Slide 15 <br />SMART <br />• The Santa Ana Multi-disciplinary Homeless Response Team <br />– Operates 7 days a week <br />– From 8:00 am to 9:00 pm <br />– Calls to the Police and Fire Departments regarding <br />non-criminal or non-emergency homeless related <br />situations are transferred to CityNet dispatch <br />– Specially trained response teams are dispatched to <br />address and engage with the homeless population <br />– Issues involving criminal conduct or activity outside <br />the capabilities of these teams are referred to first <br />responders
