CITY MANAGER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: City Manager Kristine Ridge recognized winners of the Woman of the Year <br />Award 2021 from the City. Announced the Clty Housing Authority is a certified high <br />performing housing authority and OC Streetcar Team Open House. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Bacerra expressed condolences for Peter Katz and Claudia <br />Gonzalez, stated office hours, and wished everyone good night/morning. <br />Councilmember Hernandez reminded all that COVID-19 unemployment benefits are <br />ending and increased risk of homelessness, hope rent stabilization will be discussed, and <br />expressed condolences for Peter Katz. <br />Councilmember Lopez wish those who celebrate a Happy Rosh Hashanah, and <br />announced support for Mary's Kitchen and asked for community support. <br />Councilmember Mendoza thanked Council for supporting Veteran's Cemetery resolution, <br />showed support for Cathy Green, announced a successful Grandparents Day hosted by the <br />City and successful Chicano Heritage Month, thanked all sponsors and everyone for <br />staying for the current meeting and wished all a good night. <br />Councilmember Phan remined all to remember the veterans, Afghan refugees, and all <br />affected by the 20 year war. Shared positive interactions with Peter Katz and hope all <br />remember everything impacted by him in the community. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Penaloza wished City staff members early happy birthday. Announced <br />election of District 1 representative to the League of California Cities OC Division Board <br />and expressed condolences for Peter Katz and shared positive interactions with him. <br />Mayor Sarmiento shared interactions with Peter Katz and announced adjournment of <br />meeting in memory of Peter Katz. Expressed concern for COVID-19 precautions and the <br />importance of being vaccinated after losing his nephew to the virus. <br />ADJOURNMENT — Adjourn the City Council meeting and convene to the Housing Authority <br />meeting. <br />Adjourn in memory of Peter Katz. <br />MINUTES: Mayor Sarmiento adjourned the City Council meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 8, 2021 at 12:56 a.m. <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />City Council 19 9/7/2021 <br />
