PUBLIC COMMENT — Public comments will be held during the beginning of the meeting for <br />ALL comments on agenda and non -agenda items, except for public hearings. Comments for <br />public hearings will take place after the hearing is opened. <br />MINUTES: Chad Kroeger spoke on a non -agenda item for potential grant funds. <br />JT Parr spoke on a non -agenda item for potential grant funds. <br />Alex Diaz spoke in support of Item 30, resolution supporting the Orange County Veterans <br />Cemetery. <br />Ernesto Medrano with Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council spoke <br />on Item 35 and urged council to include language in the ordinance supporting a skilled <br />and trained workforce. <br />Ayn Craciun thanked council for considering Item 33 and encourages acceleration of <br />targets for climate change. <br />Andrew Gonzales spoke regarding Item 35. <br />Mario Munoz spoke in support of Item 30. <br />Nick Berardino President of VALOR (Veterans Alliance of Orange County) spoke in <br />support Item 30. <br />John Hanna with Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters spoke in support of Item 30 <br />and Item 35. <br />Dale Helvig spoke about Peter Katz' passions and his many contributions to the <br />community. In addition, encouraged council to support Item 30. <br />Albert Castillo spoke against Police Officer Association President Gerry Serrano's high <br />salary and behavior. <br />Jose Guevara, on behalf of Congressmen Luis Correa, spoke in support of Item 30. <br />Provided a few words in memory of Peter Katz. <br />Araceli Cazales requested council support the Fiestas Patrias Event in Centennial Park. <br />Max Madrid spoke in support of Item 30. <br />Venancio Chavez spoke regarding an increase in neighborhood crimes and how the police <br />budget is being utilized. <br />Carl Benninger provided a few words in memory of Peter Katz, urged council to pass Item <br />City Council 4 9/7/2021 <br />
