Araceli Robles, resident of the east side of the city on Pine Street, requested <br />additional community involvement and to extend methods of reaching out to the <br />community. <br />Sarai Arpero, representing Latino Health Access, spoke on the need of medical <br />support, public transportation, housing justice, education, linguistic access, <br />and requested to extend various methods of reaching out to the community. <br />Clerk of the Council Daisy Gomez announced additional outreach meetings. <br />Councilmember Phan recommended the public to use DistrictR mapping tool. <br />Sophia Garcia with Redistricting Partners provided information regarding the <br />redistricting criteria. <br />Councilmember Phan inquired about outreach methods. <br />Councilmember Lopez agrees with additional outreach meetings and agrees to <br />extend the timeline. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Penaloza suggests that redistricting process can be highlighted at <br />city events. <br />Mayor Sarmiento suggested sending text messages along with provided <br />information in the water bill and that the deadline be included on the PowerPoint <br />presentation. <br />Mayor Sarmiento closed the public hearing at 8:01 p.m. <br />The balance of agenda and non -agenda public comment was considered at <br />this time. <br />COUNCILMEMBER REQUESTED ITEMS <br />28.
