Good evening Council members, Mayor Pro Tern Bacerra, Mayor Sarmiento.
Thank you for the time and effort you all have put into this and thank you for hearing our concerns
and opinions today.
My name is Evangelina Visconti.
I have been a resident of Santa Ana for 59 years and I currently reside in ward 4.
I would like to speak on the important decision you will soon be making on behalf of our city
and communities.
This past year I have had the opportunity of meeting and speak with many of my neighbors
regarding the issues and concerns of our neighborhood.
We are united in supporting our continued improvement of our community and the life and safety of
our residents.
Therefore, we request that you will agree and vote for the map that provides the most cohesive
groups, neighborhoods, and neighborhood associations, ensuring that each will be empowered to
address their concerns effectively.
After reviewing the redistricting maps that are being considered by our City Council, I am here to
voice my support for Proposed MAP F.
Proposed MAP F gives the residents the best connection with their neighbors and meets all required
criteria. It maintains consolidated neighborhood associations whereas, Proposed Maps A, A2, and
SARC 1, dismantle it by placing sections of our neighborhood Associations, located along MacArthur
Blvd., into a separate ward.
In essence our neighborhood Associations would be represented by multiple councilmembers. This is
disjointed and makes no sense.
We ask that the City Council and Mayor Sarmiento vote for Proposed Map F. We feel it is the best
choice for the next ten years for the City of Santa Ana.
Thank you for your attention and continuous work toward making Santa Ana a great place to live.
Sincerely
`-Enalina Visconti
