February 14, 2022
Dear City Councilmembers, Mayor Pro Tern Becerra, and Mayor Sarimento:
We, Judy Bryant, Mary Ann Manifold and Robin MacDonald, as the Executive Board of the
Morning Sunwood Neighborhood Association comprised of approximately 600 homes, support
Proposed Map F with a revision to include Morning Sunwood Association in Ward 4 as the best
option for our Association. The Revision of Map F keeps our southern neighborhoods intact and
consolidated and prevents the Neighborhood Associations from having more than one city
council representative in this area of the city.
We believe Map F with revision would evenly divide the population of the city into 6 wards and
meets the guidelines established by the City.
Having one city council representative is efficient and will expedite addressing our
neighborhood's similar community interests along the major traffic corridors of MacArthur
Blvd, Bristol, Segerstrom and Greenville, Flower Ave, and Fairway. One council member who is
familiar with the neighborhood and their concerns supports the development of the true
community.
As the Executive Board leaders of residents of the Morning Sunwood Neighborhood
Association, we support Proposed Map F with revision to include Morning Sunwood as the best
means of representation for southern neighborhoods of Santa Ana. This allows northern and
southern neighborhoods to each be represented by one council member.
Thank You,
heat .-yy.0 Mary Ann Manifold
