Dear City Councilmembers, Mayor Pro Tom Bacerra, and Mayor Sarimento:
I, Susan Grasse, give permission for this individual to speak on not only on my behalf but also on behalf
of Thornton Park Neighborhood Association (TPNA)
I, Susan Grasse, as the leader of TPNA, a neighborhood of approximately 800 homes, and more than
1200 individual residents, support Proposed Map F as the best option for TPNA. Proposed Map F keeps
our southern neighborhoods intact and consolidated and prevents the neighborhood associations from
having more than one city council representative in this area of the city.
Having one city council representative is efficient and will expedite addressing neighborhood similar
community interests along the major traffic corridors of MacArthur Blvd, the southern parts of Grand
Ave., Main St., Flower Ave., Bristol, and Fairway, in addition to the Bristol and MacArthur reatail
shopping areas. Contacting one councilmeniber who is familiar with the neighborhood and their concerns
supports the development of a true community.
As the leader of the residents of the Thornton Park Association, we support Proposed Map F as the best
means of representation for south Santa Ana.
Sincerely, y
Susan Grasse, PhD
Retired educator
