6.2.2 Obtain prior approval from ADMINISTRATOR to extend participation in <br />WEX. Participation shall be extended no more than twice in three-month <br />increments for up to a maximum of twelve (12) months in the <br />PARTICIPANTS' Ca1WORKs lifetime (including the first six [6] <br />months), if funding for subsidized employment continues to be available, <br />and the PARTICIPANT: <br />6.2.2.1 Will be more likely to obtain unsubsidized employment with the <br />additional training and/or experience gained through the <br />extension; and <br />6.2.2.2 Will obtain specific skills and experience relevant for <br />unsubsidized employment in a particular field. <br />6.2.3 Work directly with ADMINISTRATOR to identify barriers to <br />participation, prior to returning the referral to ADMINISTRATOR if the <br />PARTICIPANT is not placed at a worksite after fourteen (14) calendar <br />days from the date of the referral. <br />6.2.4 Develop comprehensive employment plans with specific and measurable <br />training goals. <br />6.2.5 Assume the role of employer of record and ensure that all <br />PARTICIPANTS are covered by Workers Compensation as determined <br />by the California Department of Social Services. <br />6.2.6 Ensure PARTICIPANTS will earn at least the State minimum wage for <br />each hour worked up to thirty percent (30%) above the State minimum <br />wage. For an hourly wage that is more than thirty percent (30%) above <br />the State minimum wage, CONTRACTOR shall provide documentation <br />or data from credible source on prevailing wage for the position to receive <br />ADMINISTRATOR approval. <br />6.2.7 Not provide overtime pay for PARTICIPANTS without prior approval <br />from ADMINISTRATOR. <br />6.2.8 Be reimbursed by ADMINISTRATOR for one hundred percent (100%) <br />of the salary and benefits paid to each PARTICIPANT. <br />6.2.9 Assume all payroll responsibilities for PARTICIPANTS, such as <br />WQM0522 Page 8 of23 March 1, 2022 <br />City Council 20 — 55 3/15/2022 <br />
