The fireworks are out of control for months before and after 4th of July and for any <br /> major holiday or LA sport team victory. <br /> The SAPID does nothing. My wife and I call repeatedly and even have video of neighbors shooting off illegal fireworks and <br /> nothing happens. The numbers they publish from PD on calls have to be inaccurate. <br /> The safe and sane fireworks are just the cover for all the illegal ones. Ban them all. Im sorry so many orgs fundraise with <br /> fireworks.Thats a sad reflection of our city's program funding not of the benefit of fireworks. Lets find other ways to <br /> fund programs. Its sad to live in and love Santa Ana and have to take our dogs to Irvine on 4th of July. Its sad to have to <br /> give our dogs calming medications for weeks before and after. <br /> It also sad that everyone claims to support police and our military and doesn't care about people with PTSD. They also <br /> don't care about people with other mental health conditions or people with breathing issues like asthma and <br /> emphysema.They don't care about our wildlife and pets.
