Bristol St. My trash collection bill for 2021 was $106,982.30 or $431.38 per
unit/YR. In cities where the trash collection is not a monopoly, I pay $114 per unit/YR because I can bid companies
against each other (that monopoly costs me an extra $78,710 more per year on this property). We are now under rent
control - - and we need all the help we can get. Why does the City allow a monopoly??? It just adds to the cost of
providing housing (how many new apts. are being built in Santa Ana?).
This makes ZERO sense. Please call me at 310-569-8996 (cell) to discuss.
Sincerely,
Jerry Marcil
OWNER
P.S. $78,710 lost means:
• 1 pay less income tax
The value of my property is $2,000,000 less at a 3.9% interest rate. So less capital gains tax and less transfer tax
when I sell.
• When I sell and get re -assessed, the buyer pays less property tax because he pays $2,000,000 MIL less for the
property
All of these lost taxes are not good for the City, County or State.
