Adopt Resolution for SAWPA Pilot Program <br />May 17, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />The Weather Modification Pilot Program utilizing cloud seeding was presented to the <br />City's Environmental and Transportation Advisory Commission on April 12, 2022 and the <br />Commission unanimously supported the program. <br />SAWPA approached its constituent agencies to seek financial assistance in the <br />implementation of the program. As SAWPA has been a valued partner in water -related <br />issues within the Santa Ana River Watershed, and has also provided grant funding for <br />City projects, staff recommends adoption of a resolution in support of SAWPA's Weather <br />Modification Pilot Program, and approval of a one-time commitment to provide SAWPA <br />with $10,000 to fund the pilot program. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action.
