Firm and Personnel Experience <br />Firm Experience <br />The EPD team provides on -call environmental planning and permitting services, including the preparation of <br />CEQA and NEPA environmental documents, to many jurisdictions throughout the Orange County and the <br />surrounding areas. Beyond <br />the public participation required by law (such as CEQA noticing), EPD has led public workshops, charrettes, <br />scoping meetings, and other outreach activities in order to maximize useful public input into a project. <br />Management Approach <br />EPD staff members are knowledgeable about and experienced with implementing CEQA/NEPA regulations, <br />as well as significant experience managing scoping meetings and presentations, and neighborhood meetings, <br />and in working collaboratively with the community in responding to environmental concerns. <br />In all projects, EPD will work closely with the city staff to perform a thorough analysis of the proposed project, <br />and follows a balanced approach that complies with regulatory requirements and creates a defensible <br />environmental document, while advocating on behalf of the Agency to avoid excessive, unnecessary, and <br />costly design requirements and mitigations. <br />EPD understands that each project and lead agency is unique. EPD is highly adaptable and adjusts project <br />management styles and work approaches to each Agency to provide the most effective and efficient <br />environmental documentation process possible. EPD also provides legally defensible documents and is <br />familiar with the challenges that CEQA/NEPA documents can face.
